As you might well imagine, the construction progress does not begin with the ground-breaking ceremony. Months of planning and preparation have to be done before actual construction commences. A big part in this is the obtaining of all necessary official permits.
Beck Energy and our solar partners world-wide offer integrated services where experiences professional architects and engineers take care of all the administrative issues without additional costs.
The actual construction of a solar power plant can be divided into three phases:
- Erection of the mounting hardware. After the property has been prepared for construction work, the heavy duty steel supporting beams are erected with millimetric precision using heavy machinery and state-of-the-art automated laser measurement systems. After that, heavy wooden beams are added to span the distance from one steel pole to another.
- Next, the solar modules are mounted onto the understructure. Special rigging components are used here as well.
- The last construction phase comprises the installation of all the electrical systems such as cabling, inverters, etc. After a final system check the solar power plant can be tied into the utility grid.
