  Hyderabad, India – August 9, 2008: Titan Energy Systems Ltd., Hyderabad, India has been awarded the contract to supply, install and maintain a 2MWp grid-connected solar power plant by the West Bengal Green Energy Development Corporation (WBGEDCL), a government of West Bengal company. The project, located at Jamuria near Asansol, in the state of West Bengal, is the first large-scale gridconnected solar power plant in India approved under the recently announced Ministry for Non-conventional and Renewable Energy (MNRE) feed-in tariff program for Solar electricity. Titan will supply the solar power plant with high performance crystalline solar modules manufactured at its facilities in Hyderabad, India. To ensure state-of-the-art design, installation and operation of the solar power plant, Titan is partnering with Beck Energy GmbH, a leading German company with significant experience in planning and building of turnkey ground based solar power plants.
